Sugata Mitra shows how kids teach themselves

> This was about children not needing any help from a teacher or any adult. They simply learn it on their own. i was also amazed on how fast they learn even thought they don't understand the language, they are still able to explore it. but my guess is that they learn through trial and error, and through their curiosity. it's not the machine that teaches them but what they just experienced.

Don Norman on 3 ways good design makes you happy
> well this one is a bit more interesting because it tells us that most people buy things because of it's looks not because of what is has. so this is a good advice especially for designers. now that they know the effects of "attractiveness" like saying " i-know-you-want-me" kind of thing. so bear in mind that people always judge things by the cover.

David Kelley on human-centered design
> wow simply amazing their imagination is way beyond .... beyond. if people were to create something like that now, how much more will it be in the future? i also liked the hat thing kinda gets people's attention.

  1. Ken Robinson says School kills Creativity

Sir Ken Robinson discussed issues of our education system internationally and briefly explains that rather than growing in to creativity, we grow out of it.

I listened very carefully as Sir Robinson articulated contemporary issues of nurturing creativity in this modern age. He also points out that well educated human beings fondle with their passions and are frightened of making mistakes. He shared several eye-opening examples, one of which was when he brought up William Shakespeare. He shared that people never think of Shakespeare when he was seven years old. My reaction was in lines of something like, "Goddamn! that would be a really good setting to score on a renaissance/comedy film for the beginnings of a linguistic virtuoso."

From then on, I have been thinking of historical figures and imagining them when they were all young at age. I never thought of Thomas Edison when he was seven years old. I would've told him to stop playing with those kites and go play baseball or something. Thanks Sir Ken Robinson.

    Love from,
    Max

  2. Mitchell Joachim: Don't build your home, grow it!

    > He introduced innovative new style of architecture. Which is using the environment. he called it Architecture meets Biology (Environment. This kind of architecture(or bio-architecture)make the house grow. so we are living a growing house! This one really amazed me. It's really greate idea! BUT I think it seems little bit odd, if they can control the growing shape of tree or any nature resources to make house shape for people then, I cant tell that is bio-architecture becuase, it doesn't looks like biotic for the plants. They are beeing controlled(no free to grow their own). This think makes me a bit uncool about the idea.

    Hillel Cooperman: Legos for grownups

    >This one is my favorite video. He shows that even the grown-up/adult can play the lego. while the young people / children play this with forms of alredy-completed structure, adults use this as an artistic craft, make the things from the movie comes ture, or beautiful architecture. to make their own structure. When some people saw that grown-up palying with lego, they say "oh here comes a nerd or what a nerd-playing" but for me and for him, that is just a personal hobby we can respect.
