Reflection Paper

To be a lot honest, during the first day of school when Miss Dedios ask us to literally build a transformer, i was really in panic especially when she said that it will be due on the next meeting. so many questions pop out on my head like " crap! whose gonna be my group mate???" " are we gonna finish this on time??" etc. kinda like first it was "HUH!?" but now, it's more on " uhhh...ok :)"
i really thought that it's going to be like that all the time but no and because it's fun. all that acting and singing kept every one active and busy but still laughing and cheering.

Philien for me is quite different from the rest of the subjects i took. i thought it will be sitting on the desks, hands supporting the head, eyes drooping and ears....dead. because some of my friend told me that their teacher in philien is just discussing the lecture then good bye. i was really happy and thankful to God that i got a happy-hyper-active teacher that make things around her alive especially when she comes up a new and crazy activity for us to deal with.

i really enjoyed the plays we did. it was funny and fun and i get to watch kenneth act like gay. those will be the most memorable day in philien especially when i saw our teacher is laughing and enjoying our play.."i will miss you and thanks for the learning experiences you gave us. God bless you and thanks again .....a lot."

so not all romantic movies are boy-and-girl relationship all the time. it gets boring sometimes. but watching a same-sex romance is something rather interesting like which one of them should act manly and girly. it kinda makes us wanna know how can a girl fell in love with another girl and how that other accepts her. And they say love is a mystery......

BBC News:
Drama gives 'first' lesbian fresh life

"On the day of filming I wondered if I'd go to pieces or start giggling," says actress Maxine Peake of her latest screen role.

"The first day I had to kiss someone, it was [actress] Susan Lynch and she just went for it and set the precedent. "Kissing somebody is kissing somebody, at the end of the day."

The 35-year-old star talks candidly about filming lesbian love scenes for a costume drama about the life of Anne Lister, a woman from the early 1800s who lived ahead of her time.

Even Peake jokes that her clinch with former Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien will inevitably attract viewers.

"Show them a bit of that and they'll all be watching!" she laughs.

But the Criminal Justice and former Shameless star stresses that the film sheds light on an important historical figure and brave woman.

Anne Lister was open about her sexuality and had a partnership ceremony with her female lover, faithfully keeping a coded journal detailing her love life and struggle against society.

"Anne did go forward and didn't try to cover it up. But she wasn't screaming from the rooftops 'I'm a lesbian' because there wasn't the word for it then.

"She took the flak and developed a hard skin - it was distressing for her," explains Peake. Indeed, the landowner was referred to as Gentleman Jack by her tenants and suffered abuse.

"I thought she could be naive at times and could be prone to histrionics, but she was driven and she wanted to live her life how she wanted to live it.

"What drives this character is her passion," continues the actress, who then mentions Lister's love of travel - and women.

"She had a very strong sex drive and had a lot of affairs, flirted with married women and was very competent at it - almost an arch-seducer," says Peake.

so in short, Annie has guts. not even ashamed of what she really is in front of the public, even if the others doesn't respect her much. it really did take a lot of courage to admit something like that just to get her right as a human being.

WHEN YOU'RE SIX

kids... all i know about them is that they are highly hyper active and they have strong sense imagination toward the things they see. but in the story, there's something bothering me and that's the word "Butch". every sentence in that story always has a "Butch" in it. but never mind that.

the technique they use in this story is a bit more like a sermon type or contradicting type because it contradicts what the kid should do and not to do when he's six years old. like should he cry for mommy or would he conquer his fear? and furthermore, more with repetitious like the " Even at six, you know that" at the last sentence and " butch" which describe the kid. it's also saying what ,as a six year old boy, should have been doing . like being all manly and mature outside but deep down his as scared as hell.

Kinds of Gay

WE all thought all gays are the same, like to be a girl, love same sex. We just fond out after the interview that there are lots of types of gay. others want to show it, others want to hide it and others want to really act like it.

These is one of them : Zoey (Fashion design student in SDA)
She mentioned that, there are:

Closer Gay - this is the type of gay that hides his sexuality amongst desired men and society in general.

Fashionably achieved gay - this is the type of gay that expresses his sexuality in a fashionable gay

Masculine gay - this is the type of gay that enjoys 'pitching' in other words, a man who drives pleasure from anally copulating with other men

Transvestites - this is the type of gay that carries a odd genetic structure they have a range of hormones in their body that are similar to women.

The second one was : Will (Fashion design student in SDA)
She said that, there are:

Pamin - they are gay but they look straight.

Feffine- they have female characteristics.

Closeted- they keep their orientation to themselves.

Parlorists- loud and interested in art in hair style.

Golden Gay- old gay people.

further more according to (unknown):

base on his personal opinion, there are two types of gay. The first is the one who seeks on boy to boy relationship and the other is the gay who are attracted to boys but doesn't want to have a relationship or commitment to the same sex.

"i think, no. i know i'm the type of gay who is attracted to boys at the same time i like to be in RELATIONSHIP with the same sex. how can i say I'm the type of gay who seeks a relationship? because before, i only like to have a friend with benefits with the same sex until it involves to a commitment/ relationships."

you know what? Before we do this interview, we were very nervous because the first thing is that we don't know how to construct the proper question to ask. If we slip our tongue like asking him " Are you Gay?" even though it's obvious that he is gay. We might not get the information we needed instead we will get a beating. But thank goodness that the people we interviewed were aware that this was for our project and they are openly answer our question and even gave as some of their personal secrets.

Sugata Mitra shows how kids teach themselves

> This was about children not needing any help from a teacher or any adult. They simply learn it on their own. i was also amazed on how fast they learn even thought they don't understand the language, they are still able to explore it. but my guess is that they learn through trial and error, and through their curiosity. it's not the machine that teaches them but what they just experienced.

Don Norman on 3 ways good design makes you happy
> well this one is a bit more interesting because it tells us that most people buy things because of it's looks not because of what is has. so this is a good advice especially for designers. now that they know the effects of "attractiveness" like saying " i-know-you-want-me" kind of thing. so bear in mind that people always judge things by the cover.

David Kelley on human-centered design
> wow simply amazing their imagination is way beyond .... beyond. if people were to create something like that now, how much more will it be in the future? i also liked the hat thing kinda gets people's attention.

Ultimate Pinoy Drink

We think most Filipino drink beer like San Miguel Beer,

it contains the history and culture of the Philippines. From generation to generation Filipino people drink this beer and it seems to them that it is a traditional drink . traditional because Filipino celebrate it every Oktoberfest.

>secondly because most teenager said that Sam Miguel Beer costs cheaper than those tequilas, jinn, cocktails and others. other reasons is they say that wine or whiskey are mostly for occasions only.

>the reason why Pinoy also crave for San Miguel Beer because it has different brands like San miguel lite. It has a low-calorie beer that still gives a full beer flavor, the same alcoholic beer but less in filling. a perfect balance between right and light. Furthermore,San Miguel Premium All-Malt Beer is for those who crave for unique experiences. It has a malty flavor with pleasant hoppy notes. It is full-flavored with a smooth balanced bitterness. How to be true to yourself

> To be honest, it's really hard to tell others your true self especially when you think you could trust that someone. but that actually depends to you.
> firstly, I could say I'm only average, I'm only good at stuff especially on what interests me most. And also, from what i see to myself is that i easily get nervous when we're about to do a new activity and because we see each other for two day. For me the shorter ir is the longer it has. But i believe that it won't turn out bad but rather fun. Furthermore do you believe that every performance depends on a persons mood? sounds silly but it's true for me like when an artist performs with an angry mood obviously the out come of it will be terrible? messed up or whatever.
> Well, that's all i could think of my self but still more to be found out sooner.
